A Hello Sugar Sugarista holding a ball of organic sugar paste

Booking your first Brazilian is a little nerve-wracking - we get it. The good news: sugaring is the gentlest way to do it, and your appointment at Hello Sugar American Fork | Meadows takes less time than your morning coffee run. Here's exactly what to expect.

Before your appointment

Let your hair grow to about a quarter inch - roughly the length of a grain of rice, or 10 to 14 days after shaving. Exfoliate gently the day before, skip lotions and oils the day of, and wear something loose and comfy. That's it. No numbing creams needed.

During: why sugar hurts less

Our sugar paste is just sugar, lemon, and water, warmed to body temperature - never hot. It sticks to hair, not live skin, and is removed in the direction of growth, which means less pulling, less redness, and far fewer broken hairs than hot wax. Your Sugarista will walk you through every step, and the hands-on part of a Brazilian usually takes 15 to 20 minutes.

After: keeping that smooth feeling

For the first 24 hours, skip hot tubs, tanning, workouts, and anything tight or sweaty. After that, gentle exfoliation a few times a week keeps ingrowns away. Most clients rebook every 4 to 5 weeks - and each visit gets easier as hair grows back finer.
